Some info please about wiring a 50amp Hughes Autoformer into the land power compartment of our 2008 Fleetwood 36Z Bounder.

Have ordered the Autoformer and the installation kit. Anything special I should know about this onboard installation? Experiences, drawbacks etc.?

Thanks..Jack&Rita

Nope...pretty straightforward. You're basically gonna remove the shorepower cord from the transfer swich, & in it's place install the new pigtail chord that comes with the install kit. Then you'll but a female receptacle onto the shorepower chord end that came off the transfer switch, thus making it an extension chord.

Plug the pigtail into the Autoformer, the Autoformer into the new female receptacle, then the male end of your shorepower chord into the post as you've always done.

The new female receptacle gets mounted to a wall. Be sure to mount it in the correct orientation so you can plug into it! (Please don't ask how I know

Thank you Mucksavage and 007 for the input. I have used the autoformers on two previous rigs, but not installed on board, and have been very satisfied and surprised about the number of times they cycled, meaning power fluctuations.

Thanks again..Jack&Rita
