Just a quick question. I am looking into adding some equipment to my trailer and doing research I have run into a question I have not found an answer so here goes. The Automatic Transfer switch is used to change between shore power and generator but I have seen recommendations to use one between an inverter and shore power. Do you need one or two switches and would there be a conflict between the two switches as to which power source to use?
I want to replace the "black box" charger Alfa installed with a new charger that will also supply 12V power if the batteries are out of the loop. Not sure if I want to go with an inverter built in and having to do some major rewire to only use certain circuits.
Not going to do this for a year but trying to get all my ducks in a row.

Paul, a good inverter with three stage charging will have a transfer swith already built into the inverter. Here are some links to help you in your research:
