OK here is my plan if anyone can see any flaws in this please let me know. I have a 100gal. water tank that I carry in the bed of my truck. I have been using a 110v pump to tranfer water from this tank to my 5th wheel which holds 65gal. What I want to do is mount another water hookup in the compartment where all the hookups are then plumb that into the intake line between the RV holding tank and the RV pump and put a valve in the line to force the pump to draw from the tank in the truck first. The max length of hose from truck to pump should not be more than 15ft and the bed of the truck is 2in. higher than the pump so the pump will not have to draw water upwards at all. I know someone is going to ask why so much water, where we live and camp a lot of times the nearest water might be 100km away and the wife loves camping but uses lots of water.

Plumb a 3-way valve into the pump inlet. Common side the pump, others to to external tank via a garden hose and internal tank. I think that's what you are after.

If your trailer has a winterize valve for putting antifreeze through the system, you already have what you need. Just connect the external tank in place of where you connect the A/F.
