Looking to buy a backup camera for my 27’ RV. Should I get a wireless unit or a hardwire wire unit? The wireless seem the easiest to install but are they reliable? The hardwire units seem more difficult to install.

Hi and welcome. Ya might want to try the Owners Forum further down in the iRV2 forum and the sub-forum specific for the brand of rig you have.

Hello and Welcome! I am sure you will find everyone very helpful. Not many people hang out on the New Member forum so you definately will get more responses to your question on the forum dealing with your subject. Good luck and Happy Travels.

The wireless one won't work well at all. I just put one on my 5th wheel and it's almost useless. I put a wired one on my MH and it worked great. Running the wires from the front to the back was a pain but I bought a 50' 3 wire audio/video cable on Ebay and used it. Yellow for the video and red for the 12v power. You can run it through the floor board and tie wrap it all the way to the back. Good luck

Thanks for the welcome. Being a newbie to iRV2 and to the motorhome world I'm learning.
