Basement heat
I had the electric heaters on and there wasn't any warm air coming out of the heating hoses located in the basement. Any suggestions to figure out why there wasn't any air moving?

Do you have a propane unit heater. If its on does air blow out the hoses? Or is the electric heaters with the AC unit? My propane unit heater does a,foot job keeping the basement wet area warm.

I used the electric heater that is combined with the AC. I do have propane heat as well. Just when hooked to shore power and not using gas heat was wondering if the basement would be heated by using the electric/AC units for heat.

Not that I know of. I believe the propane heat ducts are all around floor level with one going to the wet bay. That's how mine is plus I have the tank heaters that come on under 40 degrees. We have been in 16 degree temps with no problem.

Just to be clear, is the "electric heater" you refer to the heat pump function in your roof mounted air conditioner? If so, that will not heat the basement. In addition, the heat pump won't work below about 40* so it wouldn't work to keep things from freezing in the basement anyhow.

Not sure about your rig. Ours has hoses to the basement wet areas but the hoses only provide forced air from the coach. The hoses are not directly connected to a heater of any type. If the heater is not on and air is not being forced into a buttoned up coach there is no air going to wet bay. Even with heat blowing and coach buttoned up, only a slight amount of airflow can be felt at the hose.

Our 5th wheel has a small opening from the bathroom duct above. I also use an oil filled heater in the basement. It doesn't get hot enough to start a fire and keeps the floor above nice and warm.
21 out this morning and nice and toasty.

17 here this morning. Had the tank heaters on, hose and filter brought in last night, and the main heat on. All is good. I think the neighbor here didn't think about it. Looks like his water line froze!

Basement heat usually comes from the furnace mounted under the floor and not the roof mount AC units whether they have resistance coils or heat-pumps. A few carefully placed incandescent lamps in the basement can get you past this if you really do not want to use the propane.

The Coleman-Mach heat pump is not plumbed into the basement area, only to the ceiling ductwork.

No. Only your propane furnace has ducting running through or near any basement bays.
