Glad to have you here.

Whenever I am in my MH I have both switches in the on position. Whether I'm hooked up to shore power or not, they are on.

I don't shut off my chassis battery unless I'm staying for more than a couple weeks.

I never shut off my house batteries.

Exclamation old batteries/ new batteries

Hello to all, Tried to start my 2014 coachman today. Would not start. Checked my reserve batteries and they were all dried up. I have 2 6 volt golf cart batteries and I need help trying to decide what batteries to replace them with. Not getting any help from the parts store. Can you offer me some RV advise? Thanks.

Go cheap and install Sam's Club / CostCo, 6 volt GC2 batteries or spend a bit more for AGM GC2's at the same stores.

With AGMs, you won't need to check the water.

From there the price climbs. Battery + is good and then NAPA sells good GC2's.

If nearby, a golf car dealer will have good batteries.

Trojan and Lifeline are top shelf batteries but don't give you much more energy or life.

Recently installed two Sam's club AGM 6 volt golf cart batteries. $189 each.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I would leave both switches on!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
