Uhh don't count on colors to guide you. I have a BMW where the negative battery cable is RED

and an RV with a white battery negative. All that said the negative battery cable, if you follow it back from the battery terminal, should connect to the frame. The positive generally goes to an automotive circuit breaker and from there onto the fuse panel. If you can't see where they go get out your VOM and with the battery not connected and not plugged in put your meter on Ohms and check between the fuse panel and one ogf the terminals at the battery. The one with the lowest resistance (near 0) should be positive. Now, label your cables.
P.S. In household AC wiring white is always neutral and any color besides green is hot but generally red or black. Green in Household AC is always ground. I label my wires Red for positive and green for ground in my trailer. You can buy colored electrical tape at any hardware store. Wrap the tape up red about 2 feet on all your positve wires or you can simply label them.
