Bedroom A/C

Getting ready to install a 2nd A/c unit in the bedroom of my Keystone Montana trying to decide between the Dometic Brisk air 2 or the Penguin leaning toward the brisk air . Would love to hear some input from those that have done either .

I take it your RV is 50 amp service? Look for the amp rating on each unit. You'll have to be sure it's on the other 'leg' of the 50 amp service or issues will develop.

Yes it is 50 amp service and it will be on its own 20 amp circuit breaker .

Both A/C you mentioned have a number of models and sizes, so it's a little tough to be specific as the exact behavior of the fan. Most models have 2-3 speeds plus an auto setting that would only run with the compressor.

I notice that each one requires a hook up to ducting, they aren't the 'old style' that is all self contained in the A/C itself.

Here are links to each A/C you mentioned:

Actually neither require hooking to a duct ! You just have to buy an ADB which makes them the old style . I know that the brisk air only cycles the compressor not the fan when used like that but am not sure about the penguin .
