Bedroom slide

2014 Fleetwood Excursion 33D bedroom slide.
I was moving the slide out, it went approximately half ways then stopped, I decided to try and bring it back in, it moved a couple of inches then stopped again, now it will not move at all. Unplugged motor harness and had 12.3 volts to the motor, I started the engine waited a few minutes to bring the battery voltage higher and tried again, still no movement. The motor assembly just clicks when I hit the switch. Removed the slide motor and gear assembly, hooked back up to the harness and it works fine. I can physically move the slide in and out by hand with out much effort. The slide motor is under the bed. Could it be a brake issue? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

We had the same issue in our 08 Providence in June. Lifted our bed, pulled out the floor and saw the that the slide motor had literally snapped in half. We had to get a wrench and hand crank in the slide. We then went to an rv shop and purchased poles that extend in and out to insure that the slide would not open on its own as we traveled to our next destination. They were called slide locks. Once we arrived home, the new slide Motor was waiting, and we took our MH to our local shop to have it installed and adjusted

bedroom slide

I contacted Lippert about the bedroom slide motor. They think it could be a weak or bad motor. Before I send it away for warranty I will remount it and try it again. It is a bit of a job to remove and install with the way the MH is designed. I will make a modification or two to assist in removal for the future.
Thanks for viewing!
