Im not sure if this has come and gone or what. But in my 71 Explorer Paperwork that I sent off with the RV, there was a pamphlet about an exhaust driven waste incineration system that would kick in at or above 40mph to burn off your blackwater. I've done a lil searching and I know theres a select few people that actually have or did have it. Is this something that is still around, or something that can be bought? The older rv wasn't really worth looking into for an upgrade like that, but this would be something good for this RV especially if i wind up doing some LD travelling.

DevonJH - Gave me a chuckle to have my memory refreshed. The old GMC motor homes had this as an option. I used to own a GMC but did not have this. I have this mental picture of being in traffic at just over the 40 mph turn on point and when that thing fired up it would really give a surprise to the people behind you. I suspect that this feature is not sold anymore. If you have one let me know how it works.

I don't have one yet, but i thought the same thing. A lil flip switch for a lil payback to those who ride your bumper honkin their horn like your in the way in the right lane. But The pamphlet I saw wasn't RV make/model specific, it was just an addon. Im starting to wish I'd kept the paperwork now. But i know they still make incinerator toilets, why not this style?

Try this website I think it is the modern day version to what you are referring.

That sounds more like they just dumped the tank on the bridge. This thing is supposed to actually burn it all off, just like the incinerator toilets only you can dump your tanks regularly, or burn it off while going down the road without taxing your generator or sucking your batteries dry.

With all the driving I do and all the "not so nice" drivers out there, the burning nasty smell that could be there would just be a bonus/great payback. I wonder if a rv salvage yard might have one. Otherwise short attention span self might have to design one...

So if you see an rv going by that has a sign saying be nice or else... lol watch out.

Well ill be dipped in .... Google

It looks like what I've been looking for is the Thetford ThermaSan. I've found a lot of opinions both ways about it.. More for it then against it, and many people looking to put it on newer rigs. But at the same time, with my great and vast lack of life, actually found a bunch of manuals and brochures and such. (why anyone would keep things these, ill never know. But thank god they do.)

So now to piece together a rig of my own, muah ha ha ha ha. Who knows, maybe it'll wind up being something I can market to todays generation of RVers as an option? But may take some jerry riggin/testing/Government approval first
