Hi. I have a 2007 Suncruiser with the black water flusher. I went to flush the black water tank and it does not work. The water won't flush. i checked the screen and it's ok. I think it must be the check valve but do not have a clue on how to change it. Does anyone have a diagram on where and how to change it. They must be pretty standard.
Thanks
Tom

Are you getting any water to the black tank? The check valve is pretty simple and I would doubt if that is the problem. I have seen the check valve allow water to flow back out but not let flow in. But there is always the first. The screen you are talking about, is that the one inserted into the female coupler where you connect the hose?

I had a similar problem on my coach. It seems that if you allow the black tank to get too full, some toilet paper may become attached to the nozzel end of the flusher fitting and when it drys it will act as a plug which will not allow water to flow in the tank. Try filling the black tank with water along with Dawn dish soap and some liquid fabric softener. Drive around for a while and then drain the tank. Then try to use the flusher fitting again. I ended up having to make an adapter and use air pressure to disslodge the stuck paper.

Hope This Helps
Sammie

Thanks Guys. OneRVer, I get no water in the tank thru the flusher connection, and yes the screen is the one in the female coupler. So you think it's not the check valve?

I think Sammie is right, I let the tank fill to 3/4 before I dumped. That's when the problem started. I guess I'll have to go through the cleaning process.

Please let us know what happens. I also agree with sammie but I am surprised that all of the nozzles are plugged or do you only have one?

Also my check valve is within a couple of inches of the female couple. Have you tried putting a welding rod or something similar in the flush line to see if the check valve is stuck in the closed position?

OneRVer, I only have 1 connection. The gray water has none. I'm going to take a look haw difficult it is to get to the valve. I have a bad back and twisting around while lying on me back is not easy. I also wear reading glasses and the connection behind the panel is far enough to need glasses but too close to use them I don't know if that makes sense.

I tried everything. Mine was stopped up and nothing short of taking the spray end out got it clear. It was completely crusted over. I would recommend frequent use is best to keep it working. I also changed out the tank slide value while I was there. The reverse check value for the line that was mentioned, on my Jayco was under the bathroom sink where the line made sort of a high bend before going back down to the black tank.

Problem Solved! I took Sammie's advice and put 30 lbs. of ice, ($1.00 for 10 lbs. at a McDonald's in Oklahoma City) & half a bottle of dish washer, drove 420 mi. and viola, flusher is flushing.

Thanks to all for the comments.
