We have a 1999 Thor Pinnacle. We are having an issue with our Norcold refrigerator - or more accurately, the fuse for the fridge. The fridge quit working so we took it to our RV shop - they replaced the 15 volt fuse on the fuse panel inside the coach and it worked fine for a couple of weeks. Today the fuse blew again and when I tried to replace it the recepticle for the fuse arced and blew the fuse before I even got the fuse inserted. Thought maybe we needed a 20 amp fuse instead, but the exact same thing happened with the 20 amp. This fuse apparently also powers the hot water heater and the electronic ignition on the stove as none of those are working now, either.
Can anyone help?

Have you had any other work done lately on your coach? If so it sounds like you have a 12 volt wire damaged or touching ground somewhere.

I would disconnect the 12vdc wires on the hot water heater first.. tape them up so they don't fall and short out, then try a new 15 AMP fuse. If the fuse doesn't blow then start troubling shooting the hot water heater. If it still blows then go to the next item that is powered by that 12vdc line.

Thanks for your help - we are taking it to the repair shop. Electricity is just too shocking!
