Brisk air to Brisk air II ?
Our rear 1998 Brisk Air 15,000 btu unit (59516.601 - ducted) is dying. Compressor start issues. Added a Hard-start SPP6 and it helps, but still has issues and won't always start. This unit has heat strip and analog thermostat (i.e. switches and a slide temperature control)
Decided to bite the bullet and buy a new one.
Found a new Brisk Air II upper unit (B59516) on line and can get it shipped to me for $590.20. That is over $100 cheaper than any place else I can find one, even locally without shipping charges. From what I found, it will work for ducted on non-ducted and analog or digital thermostat, depending on user requirements. Nothing lets me pick what configuration I want.
Question is, will it bolt up to my old ducted lower and will the thermostat work?
Does the lower (ceiling) unit determine thermostat requirements?
I have requested info from the seller (commercial) but, of course, their service/support is closed on weekends.
Thanks in advance!
