We have a 98 Damon Class C (that we just purchased) with a Norcold 6162 2 way fridge. Last year we bought a brand new Dometic RM2620 2 way fridge that is in a travel trailer. I would love to put the new fridge in the Class C but can't find a compatibility chart. Any help is appreciated.

I'm not familiar with either one of these but I would think that if it physically fit in the opening it would work fine. Hook up 12V, propane and 120Vac and off you go.

I'll be interested in seeing what people say about this. Is there any chance that Norcold and Dometic fit the same cutouts? It would be great if they actually do.

There is one and only one factor you need to concern yourself with... SIZE

If the Dometic is the same size, then it fits perfectly.. If it's bigger then you need to figure out if there is room and if it's smaller you will need to cabinet around it some.

But other than physical size there is nothing special about either make. they are interchangable

As everyone has said size is the only concern. If it sets on same platform your only concern maybe the height.

If you go to dometic's web site they have tables in their refrigerator section that shows model compatibility (including norcold) swap outs.

you can use either, they are basically the same, just need to come close on the measurements.

Thank you so much Doug-that is the table I was looking for and couldn't find. My husband said the same thing about size but I didn't know if the brands were interchangeable. It may have to wait until we return from our month-long trip but we'll give it a try. I would rather have the new fridge instead of the 12 yo one!

What a great idea. I've had some problems with my Norcold 1200 4-dr and Norcold has been anything but helpful.. Glad to know I may not have to stay with Norcold if anymore repairs are necessary.

Did I miss something in that web site, it looks like the chart is just telling which Dometic frigerators can be switched to other Dometics. How can you tell which Dometic to use with any certain Norcold? Did I get to the correct chart? Or is there more to that web site that I missed?
