I am trying to fix my C of C awning. There is a special locking nut located in both the left and right side of the Pivot Bracket Assembly. The Assembly is sold as a whole but I was hoping someone knew the name of the type nut so I might locate one. I have googled almost every name I can think of. It is a 1/4in nut that has steel springing flares that attached and lock it one way inside the 1 and 1/8 inch tube so that a 1/4 inch bolt is used to tighten the pipe against the mounting bracket and hold the spring from unwinding. The flares let you push the nut inside the pipe, but lock to allow a tight pull in the direction needed. From the picture you can see the broken flares.
