When camping in below freezing weather, I have used the gas furnace and some light bulbs for extra heat in the basement area. On some motorhomes I have seen 200 watt or so electric heaters in the basement. I am considering installing one or more of these heaters, but I can not find a source of these "cargo heaters". Any ideas on a source for these electric "cargo heaters"?

BTW it is a forced air heater. Depending on your cargo compartment configuration, you may need only one.

I don't see how the heat in the bays can get to our three tanks. My bays are all sealed from the tanks. I would only be heating storage compartments except for the one water/dump bay. Joe

Are your tanks below your storage bays? If so they are external tanks and not in heated bays or meant for cold weather, just like mine lol.

However I do fine all year round at altitude in Colorado. You can buy heat pads that basically stick like glue to the underside of your tanks. When temp drops to 40 they heat up, when temps rise, they turn off. I also have all my drain pipes heated, so my valves never freeze or get stuck regardless of temp. It wasn't cheap. I spent about $3,000 to do it right, but I have 3 large tanks and two dump lines that are about 20' long each.

I also wrapped the top and sides of my tanks, overkill, but I get a ton of snow and cold. You will want to skirt your rig as well if at same location for a long time in cold, or spend about $1500 to have 16mil skirting made that snaps on. Priceless in keeping floors warm and really helps your tanks stay fluid.
