2008 Damon Essence Our front Carrier a/c is apparently having problems thinking it is winter instead of summer. A few weeks ago we awakened one night in Pigeon Forge and the furnace was runnng - it was very hot in PF and the a/c had been running almost constantly. I attributed it to droplets of water that were coming down from inside the unit. Re-leving fixed the problem and no more water and no more surprise furnace in the middle of the night. FIgured the water had caused some circuit to short and confuse the board. Got home and ran unit in the shed for a day and a night. No water and the a/c cooled just fine.
This morning I noticed the coach was slightly out of level and figured I would re-level before another problem like the PF one took place. Got it perfectly level and within 10 minutes Ms C said she smelled someothing heating. This time there is heat from the unit. It is A/C heat pump combo. I turned the unit off but the fan kept running! I ended up turning all the power, including the batteries off to allow the unit to reset. After 20 minutes I cranked it back on the same thing. Unit in off position, but the fan running. I used a screw driver and bumped a small box I could see through the filter area of the unit. It stopped immediately. Apparently something had stuck. Figuring the problem was solved I turned the unit back on and again heat coming out!!. This thing is getting to be a PIA.
Ideas? Solutions ? (without having to buy a new unit)

Possibly a bad reversing valve. Could just be the 120vac coil but it could also be a sticking shuttle. Most of the time it is just the coil.
