Has anyone had any trouble with their Carrier AC. Mine has a green light when it's on and when it blinks , it won't work and the book says to see your service man.
I just got mine from the shop and apparently it gives a code and it said it was a compressor malfunction. Instead of fixing it they said they reset it and it worked , so they think it is fixed. I just happened to meet the actual mechanic that worked on it and I asked him what he did to it to make it work. He pointed up in the AC , and you could see thru the filter and said he just unplugged that red wire to cut the 12 volts to it and waited a couple of minutes and plugged it back in and now they assume the AC is fixed. It is working now but it worked for a fews hrs. before it quit before. Does any one else have this remote controlled Carrier AC unit? Has the green light ever sat and blinked on yours? If you got it fixed, do you know what caused the malfunctin and what they did to fix it?
Does any any one else get awfully frustrated, to say the least, after taking off work to drive the MH 35 miles, leave it a week, take more time of work to pick it up, and they have way better than banking hrs. only to find they did'nt really fix any thing.
Apparently a lot of dumb ppl buy MHs too. They told me that opening my coach door too often is just as bad as leaving the refrigerator door open, and maybe I overworked the AC.
I always get my best and fastest work done by my "Mobil RV Mechanic", but now it's under warranty so I have practicaly no choice where I take it.

I can understsnd your frustration in having to jump thru hoops and not have the unit working properly. I am wondering if the voltage feeding the unit is possibly low and causing the compressor to overheat? The dealership should have checked more details of the a/c out, ie. the current draw of the compressor, temperature drop across evaporator and condenser, fan motor current draw and proper ductwork of the coach to determine the cause of the unit tripping out on a fault code.
