I removed the old one and have pretty good access.

My question is when installing the new one how is best way to hold in seals so I get them in place correctly. Hard to see up there.

Can I use Vasoline or something else to hold them while I tighten the bolts?

Bob

If you don't have petroleum jelly, use Vicks Vaporub.

Just a follow up in case someone looks at this.

I thought all gray water valves were 2 inch but found that mine was 1 1/2 inch so need to be sure of size before buying the replacement!

So have another 2 inch one for the silent auction at a future RV rally!!!

Guys,
Be careful with Vasoline. It's petroleum based and could degrade the rubber seals. Better off with a silicone grease. You can use it on the valve slide out too.

Yeah, be careful of that black water valve. That could be a stinking and very unpleasant mess!
