I'm wanting to hardwire my portable Progressive Industries 50 amp EMS into my coach's electrical bay. Any ideas how to do that?

Maybe I could cut the inside 50 amp cord, make a plug and plug the portable one inside my bay?

Thanks in advance

The simplist way is to do as you are thinking. Cut the power cord leaving enough to add a male plug cap on the coach side. Add a female receptacle on the power cord and install the EMS inbetween.

Why cut? Just make a short "pigtail" to match the existing male and female plugs. Then when you change campers you have them for your new one. Indiana Journey

I did that to our 2004 right after we purchased it. Found the plug and receptacle at Lowe's. Our Progressive EMS portable unit stays right in the bay.
