Coach steps

I have a 1995 Monaco Windsor 36'. I changed out the Kwiki step motor, gear box, the whole 9 yards. The steps work fine, open the door they extend out. Close the door and they retract. BUT, the light on the dash (steps) is always on.
Any ideas as to why this is?

Thanks,
Bama49

You'll have to determine what controls the light. Is is a signal from the step control board or a simple push button that needs adjustment?

Did not know of a light option...

Open steps and turn power off then look for wires or switch under rig.
