Coleman AC

I have an older Coleman roof top AC on a 94 Pace Arrow. To the best of my knowledge the AC was working fine last year. When I went to run it this year, I noticed the fan would turn on, however after a lengthy period of time, no cold air was coming out. I can not hear the compressor kick in either. Could this mean I have a bad start capacitor? Can it be replaced and if so where can I get them?

I just ordered one for my Coleman AC from RVeParts.

I have zero expertise but that sure fits the descriptions I've heard of a capacitor failure. I was also told it would draw a lot of current and get hot when it was trying to start.

Though not and expert I do have a bit of knowiedge.

I can think of a number of possible causes, and a bad start capacitor is one of them

Considering the cost of the others,, Go 4 it and pray!!!!!

Well after talking to Dale at Coleman, (great help BTW) we traced the issue back to the T-stat. SO, I took the good thermostat from the front to confirm this and everything worked fine!! Guess I will be spending $60 vs $700. Excellent customer service at Coleman, not because we found the problem BUT because Dale was patient enough to walk through some more electrical troubleshooting with me!!!
