I found a service manual for the thing and posted it Coleman 6535 service manual Coleman 6535-671 house air/heat pump. The removal procedure pretty much says they are all different. I'm not looking to fix it since I think it needs to be charged with coolant and that would mean it leaked out. It would be nice to undo as many things as possible too cut down on labor hours and make it easier for the tech.

So has anyone removed one? It sure looks like they need to be taken out since there isn't much you can put your fingers on. I can see the duct leaving and it looks like removing a bunch of screws. Can't even eyeball the cold air return connection. Then two large bolts on each side must lower it from the top. Got that piece out but nothing but the top of the unit there. Two "L" brackets on the lower front I assume keep it from sliding out. If I crank down the big bolts, remove the "L" brackets and screws from the duct will it pull out?

Somewhere here there was a good thread about house air read this or something but I can't find it.

TIA Mark

EDIT: Found the thread Basement Air--For those that have it--READ!

It sounds like mine. Remove all screws around the discharge duct, lower the front with the two jack screws, remove the brackets from the front rail that keeps it in and the entire unit should pull forward. There should be a gasket on the back that seals the back to the inlet air plenum when its pushed all the way in.

There is a great thread on here by Dunner that you can search for. I used his procedures.
