Does anyone have information on the diagnostic procedures for the heat strip? I know it has only 5600 BTU output but this unit does not produce much heat. The supply air is just a few degrees above the return air, seems hardly able to take the chill off in 50 degree weather.

Do you have and know how to use a multimeter and amp meter? You can verify you have voltage to the heating element. You can ohm out the heating element and you can check the current draw of the heating element. Is sounds like it must be working. The easiest way to verify, would be to pull the cover off the circuit breakers and check amperage of the circuit between just the fan running and with the heat selected and running. Also I would recommend a low fan speed for heating. Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks, yes I am well skilled in automotiove repairs. Campers can't be to different. It tests out with an ohm meter, .08 ohm resistance at the coil and limit switch. I do not have have electrical power where I store it so I could not test the voltage or amperage draw. The limit switch seems to rattle when you shake it. I was wondering if its bad and cycling out to quickly.

You will have to get power going to finish trouble shooting the circuit.
