Coleman Mach - No cooling or heating

Driving a 2016 Itasca Sunstar with two roof heat pumps. The front unit 48058-969 model worked fine earlier this year in Minnesota but started giving us trouble on our first long trip out to California. The heat pump gave us no heat in Iowa when it was cold. Fan blew low/high when selected. Gas furnace and electric fireplace for heat so it was not a big concern. Now in California and there is no cooling from the front unit. Called Winnebago dealer in Pismo Beach and they said they could get me in for service in January 2017. Sky RV. Even for warranty repairs. We were headed to Malibu for a few days so when we got there I decided to check it out on my own and opened up the roof cover and side access panel and found that two wires going to Therm 1 and Therm 2 were no longer connected. They had been stripped and/or crimped wrong and the few strands of wire that went into the male plug had broken off. Trimmed, stripped and crimped on two new terminal plugs given to me by Malibu Beach RV Park personnel. Unit now is fully operational.

You should bill Winnebago for your "repair"! I can't believe they couldn't even get it in to look at it until next year!?! That's pretty pathetic

Don't suppose they'd switch to screw terminals? =)

Glad you got it fixed.
