I have a Coleman Mach 6535-3451 thermostat on our MH. On the circuit board there's a potentiometer labelled POT 1. Does anybody know what that adjustment is for and how I can get it set back to it's original setting? Mine accidently got "adjusted".

Thanks for any help.

I have uploaded some Coleman - RV Product pdf files (see "Files" button) but none show you this pot your are questioning. You can download these files under the Heating and Air Conditioning category.
I think it might be the heat anticipator but not sure. How did it get adjusted? What are the symptoms you are experiencing and under what conditions?

The problem started out as a failure of both the heat pump and gas furnace not coming on when switched to heat. Since everything worked on AC and fan, I assumed the problem was in the thermostat switch.

I took it apart and sprayed contact cleaner in the switch, while it was apart my curious grandson "adjusted" the pot. I don't know which direction or how far it was moved.

The good news is that the furnace and heat pump now work when everything is reinstalled. If it is the anticipator, I'll have some time to play with it this winter in FL when the system is used.

The bad news is that I really don't know what I did to "fix" it other than cleaning the switch contacts.

Thanks for your help.
