Coleman Mach3 motor replacement

After other a/c (8330 series) motor decided to seize. I’m thinking it wise to replace the gasket material on the flange 10”X10” for the motor. Anyone replaced this gasket before? What material did you use?

Coleman Mach3 Motor Replacement

I have never replaced the gasket but if you do use a plain sheet of Neoprene , you can buy it in 12" X 12" sheets. Be sure to use gasket adhesive and use a piece of foil tape over seam ar the evaporator housing when you are done.

After seeing many motors seize due to the grease drying up in the motor bushings (not bearings). Has anyone just drilled a hole in the bushing and install a grease zirk? Put one pump of grease in each side then break the motor seize loose with a pair of channel locks, bam, fixed. The bushings just run out of grease thats all, the motor did not fail.
