We'll need much more info to help, starting with the year, make and model of your unit and whether you're talking dash (engine) A/C or house A/C...Or if you're even talking about an air conditioner...

Thanks for the quick reply Nuge!!!! A 2005 Winnebago Minnie, it's the dash vent and the A/C doesn't turn on as well.

I just had similar symptoms, though on a Mandalay DP, but the Evans Tempcon dash air system might well be the same.

The system seemed to do nothing, no matter how I fiddled with the controls. Looking under the hood, I found that a refrigerant line was very cold, so I knew the compressor was working. I found the fan housing, opened it up, and it turned out the fan had hung up for whatever reason. I unplugged and removed the fan, ran 12V power to it, and goosed it by hand until it ran freely. When I put it back in the housing, it appeared to be scraping the housing slightly on one side. Since there appears to be no adjustment to align it, if that continues to be an issue, I'll shim the bolts on one side with washers. But for now, it's worked perfectly on two trips since.

Your problem may well be different, but what I found was that if the fan doesn't work, everything else could be fine, but you wouldn't know it.

If air comes out of any vents, your blower should be OK. Vent selection is usually a vacuum controlled function. To see if the A/C functions but needs charged you'll need to find the pressure switch on your system (usually on the accumulator tank) and put a jumper across the jack that goes to that switch; if the compressor clutch picks up, you'll need a charge.
