Converter???

Hey all, new member here. I have a 2005 Winnebago Adventure. Anyone have to replace the converter/inverter? Mine is under the fridge. Hard place to get to and figure it will cost a lot more if I take it in than replace it myself. Looks easy enough to replace myself????

not that hard...especially if you can get the exact same unit as a drop in.

Tell us why you think you need to replace it.

Welcome to the forum.

You are joining a good group of folks here with lots of good info to share. Before you replace it are you sure that is your problem. If so should be fairly easy to replace.

Enjoy the adventure!

WELCOME!
Sorry you are having problem.
Please post back with followup info so 'we' can help

You should have a 55A 'Converter/Charger' (AC to DC) ---not an Inverter (DC to AC)

Why does it need replacing?

What is the BRAND/Model of your converter?

If it has to be replaced.....'Ask Randy' is a good source of what is available

I am so glad I ran into this thread! Mine needs replacement because one of the circuits puts out more voltage than the others. It will be nice if I can find a slight upgrade with a drop in fit. Best Converter sounds like what I need.

Recently upgraded our old Progressive Dynamic converter with a modern one from the same company. Changing the converter was pretty easy, just a few screws and the two D/C wires. The charge wizard took and extra 20 minutes to route inside the kitchen cabinet.
