Hi All,
After my batteries cooked the last 2 times out, I read lots of posts here and have decided to upgrade my converter to an Intellipower 9200 series.
I will also replace the 2 12v Interstates with 2 12v Trojan deep cycles.
We almost always camp with shore power (although I would like to have the option of not always plugging in). It is stored without power, but it does have a 10-w trickle charger.
My 06 Adventurer 33V is in storage, so until I can get over there, I thought I'd see of anyone already knows if the Group 27 Trojans will fit in the battery compartment without modifications? Can I go larger?
Also, my brochure says my stock converter is a 55-amp. Can I easily swap to the Intellipower 60-amp, or do I have to downsize to 45?
Thanks for any input.

A 9260 (60 amp) should work fine.

Thanks, Rusty.
Does anyone think 2 6v GCs would be better than 2 12v? I don't think I'm up to modifying the bay to hold 4 6v...

If 2 6v GC batteries will fit, that will likely give you more AmpHours/Dollar and perhaps better performance (another argument for another day). I installed a PD9260 in my rig, upgraded from a magnatec 7345. It was a no brainer and a quick install. Go with the 60 Amp...you might want it in the future and it won't cook your new batteries.

My coach is currently equipped with the Parralax unit [fried my Interstates in a year] and after researching, have decided to go with Intellipower as well. Remember, you have to order the Charge Wizard seperately to take advantage of it's 3-stage charging capabilities.

Good choice, I went the same way, however, you only have to order the charge wizard on the 91xx series, the 92xx series has the charge wizard built in. The dongle on the 92xx is merely an indicator of the charging status, the wizard is built into the main board electronics.

Re changing from 55 to 60 amps.. One of the "Rules of thumb" we electronics use is 10% Don't count
10% of 55 amps is 5.5 amps so the difference is less than 10%
You will not have any problems, None at all. And I'd expect those trojan's. fed with a PD9260, and one hopes properly watered on occasion with Distilled Water... To last a decade or perhaps longer
