Dead Dometic RV 2852

We are stationary for a few days so I switched the fridge to electric. Low and behold. the next day, everytihng had defrosted and obviously no refrigeration.

Both the exlectric and gas heast sources seem to work, at least the stack is hot. No leakage is visible (this thing has been ON since we started fulltiming nine years ago with all of the requried recalls ) Before I tryu to read the manual I downloaded from this forum, I am open to ideas on what to look for, and where I might find that little part that may have failed. The area Camping World is slammed and I still hate to pay $120/hour to do something that I can do myself

Do you have an error code on the control panel? Has it had the high limit switch recall done? I just went through this with my 1210im Norcold . It was my cooling unit that failed. You say switched from propane to ac . Did you try running it on propane again?

If you are level, have heat generated by gas or electric and it is not cooling; the cooling unit is bad and will need to be replaced. The Amish cooling unit would be my recommendation.

If you set it to the highest setting, that should bypass the thermostat.
And cool without shutting off or cycling.

Should be in the manual about that.
Also check any fuses on the board in the rear.
