Co-pilot and I were looking at "flatscreen" digital TVs and the question came up about vibration. I know all the manufacturers are showing them in their coaches over the past few years but - how do they hold up in actual over the road use?

We use ours while traveling all the time for the kids. Has worked perfectly. LCD TVs work by pushing light through liquid vs. a gun to a screen. Theoretically less to go wrong w/vibration.
That said, haven't heard about long term tests.

I have heard that LCD's hold up better in the RV enviroment than Plasma will. I have also heard that a quick rise in altitude will throw the color off on the plasma. I do not have either, so it is only what I have heard from others.

Take a look at this link: LCD Install Info
This should help you quite a bit.
The only thing I found that can be a problem with LCD and Plasma TV's in an RV is that they should not be horizontal while in transit. I checked with several manufacturers who all said the same thing.
