I have been experiencing of late quite a delay when the thermostat is turned on to A/C before the Air Conditioner starts running. It sounds just fine, and it cools ok, like it always did, so mechanically I think the Air Conditioner itself is probably ok and I am beginning to suspect something is wrong with the thermostat. I have owned this for three years or so and never had problems with it before. As to another question as part of this I have always disliked the thermostat that came with it as it is hard to see on the display what you are doing and you have no way to tell what the temp in the rig is just by looking at it. I wish they would make a combo unit more like what they have in homes with set back and all that stuff to run both heat and cool. Any suggestions out there?

There are some digital type thermostats from Hunter and Coleman that have remote controls and the ability to regulate the temp at the remote. They even have a digital readout of the temp and will control both heat and AC to maintian that temp. Check Coleman or PPLs sites.

I have been thinking for awhile that I needed to look at changing the thermostat. I noticed on my it uses what looks like a standard phone jack into the back of it, so I probably need to do some poking around and figure things out so I do not make the situation worse. Thanks again, Tom.
