dometic fridge

my fridge seems to be not getting cold when its on electric but gets cold when i switch over to propane. any ideas?

Electric heating element is probably burned out. Could also be a fuse, but the element is relatively easy to replace.

If the heating element shorted out, it most likely popped the fuse. You might need to replace both. I would start with the fuse. It should be located on the control board. If it's blown, I would next use an ohmmeter and check the resistance of the heating element. If it reads <1 ohm, it is shorted and has to be replaced. I think the common element resistance is about 60 ohms. if the elementis good, it may just be the fuse. good luck.

Definitely the heating elements...we just had the same problem.... there are 2 elements & they are a special order from Dometic ($110)....good thing you can use the fridge on gas until they arrive.
