I just bought a new 2012 Puma 30kfb (2days ago). Here in East Texas the weather has been very hot, yesterday after church went and open the slides and turn the A/C on nothing but the fan came on. It had E2 error code flashing woulden you know that the manual has nothing on the E2 code. Went web searching and found out that the thermostat has had a problem with heat from 2007. Information that i found said put an ice pack on it for a couple of minutes to cool the thermostat down. This worked, so today i sent Dometic an email asking about the problem and the correction of the problem. This is the reply i go from them.

E2 Open circuit or out of range Indoor Temperature Sensor.

Heating and cooling operation will be locked out. Fan operation can continue to operate.

You would need to contact a service technician. You can do so via rv.com

I just bought a 2012 Puma 30kfb TT, yesterday I turned the A/C on but nothing happened, there was an error code flashing E2. I did a search on the web and found out this has been a problem with your LCD Thermostat beginning 2007. I live in East Texas and we have heat down here, I do not like the idea of holding an ice pack on the Thermostat until it cools down for the A/C to work, I would like a replacement for it.

I bought my trailer from Shady Pines 9956 West 7th Street, Texarkana - (903) 838-5486

bwstout,

Have you tried rebooting the t-stat?

SYSTEM RESET

a. Turn the ON/OFF switch to “OFF” position.

b. Simultaneously depress and hold the MODE and ZONE
push-buttons while turning the ON/OFF switch to “ON”.
FF should appear in the LCD display until the MODE
and ZONE push-buttons are released.

Hope this helps.
