Dometic microwave oven Model # DOTRC17B fails to heat in the convection mode and displays Error Code F-1. It functions normal in the microwave mode. My Dometic Owner's Guide has no Error Code info and not even a Dometic Corp. phone number. Can anyone provide these or give me the "how-to-fix-it" info?

Hello and . We are glad to have you join us here and we look forward to reading of your adventures and experiences. I am sure you will enjoy the website and forums. Good luck, stay safe and keep us posted.
I believe the oven is manufactured for Dometic by another; I want to say Sharp. I have been away from the appliance business for a long time and have not really been able to keep up with it. I have seen more and more of them and repaired a couple in the past year.
Here is Dometic Customer Support - Dometic Don't be surprised if they are not able to completely answer all your questions. Is the unit in warranty? If so many times they just have us change them out.

Microwave ovens are power supplies, heaters and computer control, the computer control may be the obvious culprit. Unfortunately not much anyone can do except swap boards out. About the only easy "guess" is to disconnect it, allow the CAPACITOR TO DISCHARGE (give it a day) and then disconnect and reconnect all the control board connectors. Dont let the HV capacitor kill you like one almost did me...
