Talking Dometic NDA 1402 Side by Side fixed

We purchased a used Fleetwood that has a Dometic NDA1402 side by side refrigerator. We soon noticed the frig was not staying below 40 F during the heat of the day and seemed to struggle to get below 40 F overnight.

So I installed an additional fan to help draw air out of the top louver access panel. That helped some but the frig still was not cooling all that well. I then shot-gunned the problem by replacing the main circuit board....easy install but no joy, frig was still struggling.

My final attempt before handing the RV over to a dealer was to replace the original exterior fans thermostat, with one that turns on at 130 F rather than the stock 149F. Major difference in the performance of our frig. The freezer now runs between 1 F - 15 F and the frig runs 32 F - 38 F

If you have one of these beasties and are having cooling issues you may want to check the exterior thermostat...$15 fix.
