Dometic/Penguin II AC/Heat Pump Replacements.

I know...very unscientific and and probably statistically useless but...

How many of you have had multiple replacements of your Dometic Penguin II units that were still under factory warranty?

My two original A/C Heat Pumps Dometic Penguin Low Profile units lasted for about 8 years before needing to be replaced. The new ones were installed in May 2009 (front) and September 2009 (rear).

My front one is now short cycling but one RV technician seems to think that relocating the thermistor will correct the short cycling. We shall see.

My front zone thermostat is directly impacted by both 2 floor furnace vents and 1 overhead AC vent. I have had to shut/block them off to avoid that problem.
