I just purchased a 2002 Damon with the Dometic refer.
I have been unsuccessful in determining if this work has already been performed on my unit.
What is the best way to determine if the unit has already been updated ?

thanks, al

Welcome to irv2 Al.
Here is a TSB for Dometic recall information on it and what to do is on it.
If it was done there should be a sticker or yellow tag someplace on or near fridge stating when it was done.
The serial numbers should be on record at Dometic with information as to if or not it was done.
This is the Norcold TSB recall which maybe similar to the Dometic recall.
Be patient the TSB's takes a while to load.

Open the outside compartment. IN the lower right corner if you see a metal "Shield" as opposed to the burner assembly.. Recall satisified.

If, on the other hand, you clearly see the burner assembly... Visit a dealer.

Thanks everyone !
I checked here before I headed out for the shop and you have saved me a trip.
I went to the Dometic website and entered my model & sn, and it responded that I needed the recall.... I guess it really meant that "you fall into the affected range". I wasn't able to locate any yellow sticker anywhere, but I was able to see a "shield" of sheetmetal blocking the direct view of the burner area and the pic leaves no doubt. I called the shop and told them of my discoveries and canceled my time-slot.
I sure appreciate the help . . . thanks again, al
