Dometic Ref Trouble

Have a Americana Model 2652? in 2004 MH. Have 12 vlt DC power thru terminal block, three fuses good, connections seem to be secure. HAVE NO POWER to display board or to inside lamp on either AC or DC/Gas.

In the past 3 years this has happened 3 or 4 times when I would turn off the ref. to clean it or storage. But, it seemed to return to operation on its own, usually overnight. Mysterious, but when it is working, it works satisfactorily until I turn it off for a lengthy period. Now it seems to have quit for good.

Is there a way that I might can tell if either power board has gone bad?

IRV2 site has been a great help for me during the three years - thanks for all your support.

Yea, I'm not going to be a lot of help, but I did read about the ability to bypass the board and hook up power directly to see if it runs....

I have 12 vlts to / thru the small terminal block, but no power in the wire going to the lamp terminal on the lower board. This wire descends from the upper display board and I can't detect power to the upper board.

Thanks. I'll study the schemetic some more. Just wanted to get some ideas before I start buying parts that I may not need to replace. Funds are very limited after retirement.

Most likely tracing the power to the location where you lose it is most logical. You also need to confirm any dependent conditions at that component. For example a mode switch between gas/electric, a thermal condition, overload etc. If it is truly a terminal block and you lose power across it, could be an indication of a short or lost ground/return (these are strange symptoms to chase).

Best of luck.
