Dometic RM 2611

I think my board may have gone out, but before I dish out the cash for it, is there any way to check?

My Dometic RM2611 Refrigerator had turned off on me about a week ago. Last night it just turned off on its own and will not turn back on. I checked the plug and it seems to be working. I don't have a 12V tester though. I ran it off a different plug and there was no difference. The front control panel does not light up at all.

I looked at both the 3 and 5 fuses and they seem to be fine.

Before this issue, it was hard to get it to change temperature. I would have to hold and press that button for a few mins before it would decide to change temp.

Well now my refig is dead and i don't want to buy a brand new one. Suggestions?

Thanks,
Michael

Welcome bourgm to irv2.
The two plugs have nothing to do with your fridge operation.
Your control board & inside control on face of fridge are working off 12V 's, you should check your 12v fuse panel for blown fuse or inside your outside vent check for loose wiring where the 12v's feeds the control board.
One plug is for your electric heating elements and the other plug is for the ice maker.
You don't say how old coach is it could be your wiring connectors just need to be cleaned of dirt or corrosion.
Owning a coach would pay off owning a volt meter.
The fuse's on board can than be checked for continuity.

It is a 1993 model.

What made me start thinking it was the board was the fact that the front control panel started messing up prior to it just stop working. I will get a meter to check it. I know I am getting juice through it, just don't know how much yet.

I looked at both the 3 and 5 fuse and they look good. I'll replace both of them prior to just buying a new board.

If I remember right there were problems with front panel and a recall because of fires.
I would call Dometic and check with them. Panel does not cost you on recall.
Also see if you have another recall done which will look like this:

Well.. It started working a little bit ago.. I didn't do a thing to fix it though. I'm sure it will happen again.

Check the screw terminals for 12v wiring back at your fuse panel if you have them positive or negative maybe loose.

Well I havn't had any more issues with it turning off, BUT.. the temp hasn't gone below 51 degrees on the coldest setting. I havn't switched it over to gas.. I'll do that in the morning if the temp hasn't dropped.

Freezer is freezing though.
