Dometic RM 3662 won't get cold on propane

Just bought an old travel trailer with a Dometic RM 3662 fridge. It works fine on AC power, but when I try to run it on propane it won't get cold. It starts the "click click" cycle and lights, but that's it, I never hear the burner fully kick in. The LP light on the front fridge panel stays lit and the check light does not come on either but it will not cool.

I didn't get any manuals, so I'm looking for some troubleshooting steps to sort this out. Thanks! Ken

PS. After searching and reading other posts I'm wondering if the trailer needs to be as close to level as possible for the LP to work? I had it level front to rear, but not side to side, I'll move it tonight and check things again.

Check the burner for soot or pieces rusted away. You likely need a propane regulator unless it’s been changed recently. Look online for videos of good and bad flames. Don’t put anything solid in the burner orifice to clean it or you’ll ruin it. Brake cleaner and a little air.

Clean the flue and check the baffle if the other stuff is good.

Being level affects cooling process regardless of heat source (electric or propane)

Spark electrode fires ---click, click, click and flame lights (no 'check' error)
Flame is SMALL and hard to hear

Could be Low LP SYSTEM Pressure

Could be dirty burner slots
Could be dirty orifice
Could be dirty flue/flue baffle

Cooling Unit if functioning using electric so it should do the same usign propane
PROVIDED propane flame is HOT enough and that heat is being transfered to boiler section

Thanks to the link for the manual Old-Biscuit!

I was able to clean the furnace compartment out and removed the roof cap and checked that all was good up top. Got the propane flowing and the fridge is now cooling as it should!

Thanks all!!

Thanks for update!

Glad to hear it just needed a little 'house cleaning' to resolve cooling issue

Well, I spoke too soon. After ten days of camping in the new to me TT the fridge quit after day two. It says it's running on propane, but it won't stay cold. No check light, and no cold fridge.

Dang!

Did you recheck that burner is still clear.
Burner slots MUST be free of any debris/rust flakes etc

What does the Flame look like when burning........remove burner shield and observe the flame
Should be a strong/blue flame that just reaches up into bottom of flue opening

Clean orifice, burner and check LP SYSTEM pressure (11"WC with at least 50% of appliances in service)
