Dryer kicks breaker

Help, just had a stack w/d installed. Dryer pulls 18 amps and they put it on a 15 amp breaker. Can this be changed and is it easy? All help appreciated!

You can't just change the breaker. If the circuit has 14 gauge wire it is rated for 15 amps only. If you put in a 20 amp breaker, you have to rewire with 12 gauge wire. The wire to the outlet will have imprinted on the side whether it is 14 or 12 gauge. If you overload the wiring, you can cause a fire.

The other option is to find a circuit that is already rated for 20 amps and plug int that one.
