This might move you towards a better understanding.... http://www.rvforum.net/miscfiles/Furnace_Trouble-2.pdf
I make a troubleshooters guess....I look at incoming power and if I am getting any spark potential produced to make my decision on the board as being an issue.

I'm not even getting the spark "tick" like on the MH heater, just the fan turns on.
I also don't think the gas valves are opening. I'll break out the multi meter and post back see where we can go

You are on the right track...check in coming power with your meter to the board.... make sure the hot water switch is in the ON position. Make sure your water is ON to the hotwater heater (not in bypass)....then make your measurements. Remove the connectors and replace them to the board and to the spark igniter.....this might be a simple bad contact issue.

Uh, yea furnace is not the WH.
What model is this?
There is a certain order of things.
Furnace gets call for heat. Board turns on blower.
Sail switch closes circuit, telling board that there is proper air flow from the fan.
Once sail switch closes, board concurrently starts sparking ignitor and opening gas valve.
As long as heat is sensed from thermocouple, ignitor stops, gas valve stays open until t-stat stops calling for heat.
If you have no ignitor sparking or gas valve opening, go to sail switch.

Sail switch was not sailing
It was jammed up, freed it and it works great. On the down side it was a PITA!!!!! Had very little room to get to it, got a few battle scars, but its fixed and for FREE
Thanks for the help.

Furnace is not too much different and I have some nice videos of that too but you do have to pull most furnaces out or partially out of the MH to work on them. I can certainly see where you might get cut and nicked if you tried to reach over and around all the stuff to work on it while stuff tightly in there.
