My Front roof mount unit works with the fan switch in the ON position, but when in the AUTO position I hear the compressor buzzing but unit/fan dosen't work. Any opinions on what it would be?

Check your supply voltage. The fan motors on the Dometics on our rig are hesitant to start if the voltage drops below 108VAC. The compressor will start but, since the condenser and evaporator fans aren't running, the compressor will trip out shortly on its thermal protection.
If voltage is dropping close to 108VAC and I must run the ACs, I'll leave the fans set to ON, not AUTO.
The Dometic Duo-Therms seem much more sensitive to this phenomenon than the Colemans.
By the way, before anyone else says it, operating the ACs under low voltage conditions such as I described is NOT RECOMMENDED.

I doubt its low voltage since it happens only on the front unit and I have been in several parks and also used the generator since this issue started.

What thermostat does the coach have? If digital take it off the wall plate, unplug the data cable and look for any signs of corrosion and reinstall. If you see a control box in the return air/filter area; do the same thing on that end of the data cable. If you have an analog thermostat make sure all control wiring has good clean and tight connections.
I just re-read your post and it sounds like you have an analog thermostat. Try using some electronic tuner cleaner on the switches and re-try. If it still does not bring the fan on, jumper from the ground terminal to on of the fan speed terminal and the fan should run. If so, the thermostat is bad. If not you have other issues on the unit itself or as Rusty as indicated you may be in a low voltage situation. Good luck and keep us posted.

RV Wizard,
Jumper wire makes the fan come on in the auto position. Will try new themostat. Thank you. Do I have to buy a Duo-Therm one or can i just pick one up at LOWE'S?

The T'stat will have to operate with 12 vdc. Most home units use 24 vac. It sounds like you have the analog t'stat and not the CCC.

Thank you RV Wizard! You are a real asset to this site. New thermostat solved the problem. Yes it is analog.
