88 Fleetwood Pase Arrow Rooftop AC
AC Broke, took it to a mechanic. He said I need a new one. Keeps blowing a fuse in the cooling assembly? He had it running by bypassing the control board (I believe). How did he bypass the control board to start the AC. Why would it blow a fuse? Help please
Terry

To power up the compressor and fan is easy enough to do by using a power cord and feeding 120 vac to the motor circuits. If the currents of the individual motor are within specifications the capacitors and compressor starting components should be ok. A stuck relay on a board could cause the compressor to stay energized, more than one fan speed to run or have a short circuit. It is hard to say without troubleshooting it as to why.

Is your Comfort Control Center the 4 or 5 button model. I do not have resistance reading but do have the test procedures. I could email you the file. If I can help, send me a private message with your email address.

Yeah mike you were helping me a few months back.
I don't have the 4 button control center or 5 button, i have the keypad built into the left jut like terry had. it was a 610005.001 with touch control pad and shurstart.( I sure wish terry had kept the keypad or any parts. mine looks like someone removed these resistors.....R16,17,24,23 and 25 appears to be damaged. If you dont have the value, you can provide the colors stripes. The last stripe will be gold or silver. The first 4 stripes will be colors other than gold or silver. If you provide the colors you see on each resistor, that would be of a tremendous help.
The keypad is part #318595 on page 4 of the PDF.

I dont have the discrete comfort control center that you have now, nor do I have the 5 buttom. I have the 610015.001 self contained unit with the touch control keypad on the left hand side and display. I beleve its the one you had before you upgrade, Terry. I was saying I was hoping you still had the touch control keypad or the ac so I could either get the control board, the keypad board, or at leat the resistor values off of the keypad board. I provided the PDF to be sure we all know what AC you had and what AC i have now, which is the same one. I' want to create a repair proceedure to repair the keypad and or control board or replace it with a remote IR control board withour having to run wire to an external thermostat wall mounted control unit. That way in the future if the control board goes I would have a solution that wont cost $300 like the duotehrm dometic retrofit kit.I could use that, but I dont want to run wires on the ceiling or wall of my coach if I cna help it... And the wireless solution duotherm had years ao is also no longer available.

Dulobast25,
I thought I understood you. I attached the the thermostat to see if this is what you need. I sold the camper So I'm out of visual information.

Also looking for the control board itsself.. the one located unde the cover on the ac unit that plugs into the ribbon cable shown in this photo.
Interesting, r16, 17 and 24 are missing from my board as well, and if I look closely, I see little pieces of metal which made it look like someone had cut out the resistors. The circles in prurpl represent how my unit is the same as yours.
The circles in red are the color stripes that I am looking for. My r23 is missing as well. I'd like to know the valure of that one...
But yes Terry this is the keypad I was looking for and also the control board itself. Is this the last remaining pic or do you still actually have pieces?
Thanks
