I have a 2006 Dutchstar, Model 3817, and I just tried to turn on the House A/C. It worked last week just fine, and has been working throughout the winter with the heater. This time, the display is completely blank when I switched it on. Tried the switch several times with no display at all. Fuses checked OK, House power was on as well as the generator with plenty of power. Any ideas?

Remove the cover and check to see if the modular plug is connected properly. That's all I can think of right now. The T-Stat should show/display something. Weird!

I don't believe that the T-Stat is on any type of external fuse other than internal on the thermostat. I am assuming that the house panel (AC) breakers are all ON.

Just read thru my Duo Therm operating instructions and no help. I think the only way the screen would be blank is a lack of power to it or an internal failure. Make sure your 12V fuse is good. Instructions are light on troubleshooting and suggest calling for service help: (800) 544-4881

FWIW Some units need to be re-booted. On my unit unplug the telephone type jack for 30 seconds or 2 buttons held ON as the slider switch is moved to Off then On. Can't remember the two buttons but I think they were the top and bottom buttons. This has cleared several problems for me.

Thanks for the ideas! I went back to my motorhome a few hours later, turned on the power and then saw that there was a display again on the thermostat. I was very hot earlier inside the Motorhome, and it was cooler when I checked it later. Maybe the heat had something to do with the display going blank?
