the campground we park our 5th wheel at replaced the electric receptacle this weekend ( after complaining for 2 years) Now our problem has come inside the camper. Our gfi is no longer working ( figuring it was weak but with the problems at the box we did not get the full amps and now that we are this showed up. Can i replace the gfi with one from a home imporvemnt store or do i need to get one at a RV store?

Any GFCI will do! Sometimes the receptacles have special mounting tabs but on the average GFI plugs are pretty much all the same.

The receptacle on the pedestal should be checked to be sure it is properly wired and grounded. I highly recommend a Surge Guard be used on the service of the coach. If you find that the pedestal is correct then you may have a bad GFCI receptacle. Be sure to turn off power and when replacing the GFCI receptacle get the line side and load side correct or it will not work.
