Electric Steps Stopped working

The retracting steps on my Discovery have stopped working. Right now they are about 7/8s retracted. Nothing from the motor when I open the door. Doesn't matter what position the "Steps Off" switch is in. Doesn't matter if the ignition is on or not. When I close the door, I can here the relay from the Hall effect switch clicking on and off.

Could not get under the coach to put a test light on any of the connections. Thunderstorm was closing in.

Anyone have a similar experience?

Make sure all the pivot points on the steps are lubricated with something like WD-40 if there is much resistance it will cut off

Use a liquid spray grease not wd-40. Mine would not stow either and it was the knuckle in the middle of the step that was froze. I removed the pin and lubed until I could move by hand. All is well and works fine. the directions say to use a liquid spray grease.

Thanks. I keep the steps well lubed with the same dry luv I use on my slides. The motor does not seem to be getting power

I had a similar issue with my steps and after trouble shooting I found a loose wire in the main connector.
