My electrical control panel had been showing 30 amps which is what the power source is. Since it has gotten cold the control panel now shows 50 amps even though I am still parked into the same 30 amp plug. I can now also run both heat pumps without the control module shutting 1 of them down as it does when it shows 30 amps. My brother who has the same control panel in a different brand coach has experienced the exact same situation. Any thoughts?

Defrective panel... The determinatin of 30/50 is supposed to be done by measuring voltage L1 to L2 (At least that is how most panels work, all far as I know) on 30 amp L1 and L2 are jumpered together and thus the voltage is zero.
On 50 amps they are 240 volts from each other.
HOWEVER.... if you have a bad dogbone adapter.. It could cause a difference in voltage between the two legs, and I do not know how much voltage it takes to change to 50.
Suggestion, Remove cover from breaker box and use a volt meter (Multimeter set on AC volts at least 250 volt range to start) to measure voltage from one main breaker to the other.. Should be zero (And warning, they are both hot) but if it's not let me know how high it is, and get a new dogbone.
Main to White... Should be 120 volts. (As should main to Green/bare)
NOTE: PLEASE report back if you find a voltage difference between the two main breakers.. Thank you (I want to know) .
NOTE

Well I can't do any readings as I am a facility renter & the breaker box is locked. Do you know why it would change from 30 to 50 without changing anything?

You can't measure the voltage where your shore power cord plugs in?
Is your shore cord a 30A cord or a 50A (4 prong) with an adapter to 30a?

I was getting some weird readings from my EMS. After some troubleshooting, I found that one of the branch circuit breakers that I had turned off as a safety precaution (water heater in this case) was one of the inputs needed for the EMS to work properly.
Turned the breaker back on, everything is fine.

What Bluepill said;
Precision Circuits techs., my power mgt. brand, say that since I tripped the water heater circuit breaker (winterization) the system is confused into thinking that I am hooked up to 50 amps. Also holding down the select button reveals the the version.
